Stonemill Consulting is a technology consulting firm founded in 2010 by Myra and Geoff Endris. Since its inception, Stonemill has focused its attention on Software Quality Assurance and specifically on software testing. Early on, Stonemill noticed that clients seldom required a full-time test analyst for projects and often struggled with resource availability in traditional job sharing arrangements. Clients also struggled with having to continuously train newly hired temporary resources only to watch the knowledge they built up walk out the door.In response, Stonemill created a flexible staffing model that provided clients with only the resources they needed without the inherent conflicts associated with traditional job sharing and eliminated the frustrations associated with a revolving door of temporary resources. In addition to its Software Quality Assessment practice, Stonemill offers independent software testing in the form of short-term temporary, long-term fractional, long-term project-based testing and fully outsourced Software Quality Assurance services to corporations, software product companies and custom development companies. Stonemill provides functional, systems, integration, load/stress, user acceptance and regression testing services using both manual and automated testing techniques. The typical Stonemill employee has a technical degree, some experience as a software developer and at least 5 years of experience in software testing. Many staff members are experience in automated testing. Most employees are familiar with at least 2 test management tools and at least 1 automated testing tool.
