This Prequalification is issued by the City of Edmonton (“City”) to invite Submissions from partieswith Relevant Experience and who are interested in contracting with the City to deliver, as aConstruction Manager at Risk (“CMAR”), the Metro Line Light Rail Transit (“LRT”) (NAIT toBlatchford) Extension (the “Project”).  
  
This Prequalification is the first phase in a three-phase Project Procurement Process. Theoutcome of this Prequalification is limited to identifying Respondents, each composed of qualifiedTeam Members, and shortlisting up to three such Respondents for participation in the Request forProposals (“RFP”). Each Proponent is expected to have the following characteristics:  
(a) capacity to support detailed design by providing technical input and constructabilityreviews;  
(b) capacity to execute the procurement and construction of the Project;  
(c) demonstrated pre-construction experience providing value added constructability reviewand innovation during detail design;  
(d) demonstrated construction management experience including specialty trades involved inlight rail transit systems; and  
(e) experience managing the system integration, commissioning and start-up of light railtransit systems and related operating systems.

The Opportunity Amount indicated is not reflective of the actual budget or estimated spend for the Contract.  The City is not disclosing that amount at this time. The Opportunity Amount is not binding on the City and bidders will have no claim against the City for any difference between the Opportunity Amount and the final Contract amount.
